PART 2: VALERIE

January 2020, Melbourne

Tonight I’ll be on an overnight bus with some girls from the club up to Canberra for Summernats. I’ve heard that it’s usually a really great weekend with a heap of men travelling hours to come to this car show. The club we’re staying at has accommodation so I hope that will be good. I have no idea what to expect haha.

I’m going with two girls from my club and then meeting up with another I used to work with once we get into Canberra. I’m excited to try out another club, I’ve worked in a few clubs in Brisbane and one overseas, and I’m onto my third one Victoria. It’s always so cool to see how different clubs work, the type of guys and the type of girls that work there. The decor is always something that can be really interesting in clubs.

Last night I spent NYE pretty low key with my boyfriend. We went to the Queen Vic Markets during the day and got a heap of fresh fruit and alcohol to make a nice big punch, he also made me one of my favourite meals, honey prawns. We chilled out playing UNO, drinking and watching our favourite comedy sketches that we’ve seen a million times before, but are still so funny. We met up with my good friend who lives right by me and we sat in a park and watched the fireworks at midnight. We came back home, had some more to drink, took some horny polaroids then went to sleep. That was a pretty good start to the year.

I spent the last week or so with my family in Townsville, seeing everyone there, meeting my new niece which was really cute. Yeah I’m really lucky to have a supportive family, and I’m out to all of them, which is a relief. I really hated lying to the family I didn’t tell straight away. So its always good to see them and know that they’re there for me, catch some sun in North Queensland. Its been a good few weeks.

I worked at the club up until I had to leave to go to Townsville, and that was actually quite good. I’ve met some really nice regulars that have been coming back, and yeah I’m really loving my new club. I definitely don’t miss the old one. So yeah, tomorrow Canberra, should be good, there’s supposed to be heaps of fire and smoke around so I hope I don’t see too much of that on the bus. But I guess we’ll see, I hope it doesn’t affect Summernats, I’m sure it won’t.

I’m sure nothing could affect men going to see cars race, right?
