TØS is a journal of sex worker culture. It is a lifestyle publication created completely by sex workers for sex workers. TØS Journal aims change the way sex workers are viewed by creating a platform to tell sex worker stories and showcase the diversity of sex worker experiences.

 

EDITORIAL STANDARDS

1. All content (written, photographic, illustration or other) published in TØS Journal must be written by a current or former member of the sex industry.

2. TØS Journal seeks to represent the diversity of the sex worker experience.

3. TØS Journal does not publish content that is racist, transphobic, homophobic, whorephobic, fatphobic or otherwise discriminatory.

4. Published articles should not marginalise, isolate or reject segments of the sex industry.

5. Published articles should not rate-shame or service-shame other sex workers.

6. Published articles can take the form of feature articles, interviews, anecdotal stories or photo stories.

7. For feature articles, TØS Journal requires writers to source two primary sources (interviews).

8. Submissions and published articles should not “out” other sex workers.

9. Published articles must not be defamatory.

10. Contributors should submit content relevant to their life/work experience. Ie. Someone who works in stripping should not write an article on the porn industry. They may however write an article about watching porn or they could interview someone who works in porn as a profile style article.

11.  TØS Journal content should centre lived experiences.
